Did you know that more than 80% of cats and dogs in the UK over the age of three have some sort of dental disease?
Here at Hollyoak, we know how important it is to take care of your pet’s teeth and want to encourage better dental care so that we can improve the health and well-being of your pet. Dental disease is really common and can cause your pet a lot of pain; something which pets can be good at hiding! So even though your pet seems happy, it’s still important to check their teeth regularly. Common signs to look out for:
- Smelly breath!!! Your pet’s breath shouldn’t actually smell that bad and could be due to a build-up of bacteria.
- Increased drooling or dribbling
- Red or sore gums, even bleeding gums
- Pawing at their mouth or dragging their face along the ground
- Yellowing or browning of the teeth
- Interest in food but difficulty eating
If dental disease is left untreated, the bacteria build up in the mouth will enter the bloodstream and can cause problems with internal organs such as irreversible Kidney and Heart disease!
By treating dental disease early we can help prevent other health problems and avoid more costly treatments.
Clients often report that following dental treatment, their pets behave like puppies and kittens again! They had no idea their pets’ teeth were causing so much discomfort – they just put them slowing down to old age! This isn’t the case!
To be able to help as many pets as possible we are running FOR ONE WEEK ONLY A SPECIAL OFFER ON DENTISTRY!
During the week of the 12th– 16th December we are offering:
DISCOUNTED DENTAL PROCEDURE PLUS:
FREE DENTAL X-RAYS (normally £70)
FREE DENTAL GOODYBAG
We are inviting you and your pet to see one of our highly trained Veterinary Nurses for a dental check-up. During this appointment we will carry out a full dental assessment and be able to advise if your pet will benefit from a dental – if this is the case, we can book you in for our discounted dental package!
We can also advise on preventative care such as brushing if we think your pet will benefit from this alone. We can teach you the techniques to make brushing fun for you and your pet. You brush your own teeth every day so why not do the same for our pets?!
If you have been recommended a dental in the past and wish to make the most of our special offer week, you can phone reception and book in without seeing a nurse.
